Mirror coatings

The purpose of mirror optical coatings is to create systems with the maximum reflectance. Mirror coatings are divided into metal, metal-dielectric and dielectric.

Aluminum mirror with protection

  • Reflective aluminum coating with protection on K8 glass.
  • The position of the reflection maxima can be changed.
  • The adhesion of the coating is checked with adhesive tape.
  • The coating can withstand wiping with a cotton swab dipped in acetone.
  • Reflection is measured at angle of incidence = 9 degrees.

Mirror metal coatings help create systems with maximum reflectivity.

Metal dielectric mirror

  • Reflective metal-dielectric coating on K8 glass for the range 0.4-0.7 microns.
  • The position of the reflection maximum can be changed.
  • The adhesion of the coating is checked with adhesive tape.
  • The coating can withstand wiping with a cotton swab dipped in acetone.
  • Reflection is measured at angle of incidence = 9 degrees.

Dielectric mirror

  • Reflective dielectric coating on K8 glass at 0.808 microns.
  • The position of the reflection maximum can be changed.
  • The adhesion of the coating is checked with adhesive tape.
  • The coating has passed the climatic test (24 hours at a temperature of +50 degrees Celsius and a humidity of 98-99%) and mechanical durability (according to the instructions from paragraph 4.5.11 of MIL-C-675C).
  • Reflection is measured at angle of incidence = 9 degrees.
